Why You Would Need A Cleaner

“Why a Cleaner Isn’t a Luxury – Sometimes It’s Just One Less Thing to Think About

Introduction:

There’s a strange amount of guilt attached to getting help with your home.

For some reason, we’ve created this idea that we should be able to work, look after children, keep on top of appointments, cook, do the washing, remember everyone’s birthdays, maintain a social life and somehow still have a sparkling bathroom at the end of it.

And if we can’t?

We must be doing something wrong.

Except we’re not.

Sometimes there simply aren’t enough hours in the day.

Hiring a cleaner doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t clean your own home. In the same way that ordering a takeaway doesn’t mean you’ve forgotten how to cook.

Sometimes you’re simply choosing where your time is better spent.

For one person, that might mean having somebody clean for two hours while they’re working. For another, it could mean getting some extra help during a particularly busy month. Someone else might physically struggle with certain household jobs or simply absolutely hate cleaning the bathroom.

All are perfectly valid reasons.

At Kennett’s Helpers, we also know that every household is different.

Some people want regular weekly cleaning. Others might only need a deeper clean occasionally. And sometimes cleaning isn’t even the thing that would make the biggest difference.

Maybe the washing has taken over.

Maybe you need help with a household errand.

Maybe there are several small jobs hanging over you that individually don’t seem like much, but together feel overwhelming.

That’s one of the reasons we offer Helping Hands alongside our cleaning services.

We don’t believe getting help with your home should make you feel judged for needing it in the first place.

And having a cleaner doesn’t mean your house needs to look immaculate before they arrive, either.

Please don’t spend the night before your cleaner comes frantically cleaning because you’re worried about what they’ll think. We promise, that defeats the point slightly!

A good home service should take something off your list, not add another job to it.

So no, having a cleaner isn’t necessarily about living some luxurious lifestyle.

Sometimes it’s about coming home after a long day and knowing the bathroom is already clean.

Sometimes it’s getting a couple of hours back at the weekend.

Sometimes it’s having enough energy left to do something you actually enjoy.

And sometimes?

It’s simply one less thing to think about.
